why hasn't gordon posted to this yet? she must be home by now- she left the city at 11.38 am this morning (after a nice nussbaum breakfast of bagels and iced coffee)! i spoke to her as she exited the tunnel in baltimor(on)! gordon? blog!
in other news, i did some VERY IMPORTANT THINGS TODAY. like, i had two interviews and got approximately one and one half internships. afterwards i gave $5 to a HRC activist- i'm such a sucker for gay rights. also, i took a quiz on facebook: WHICH ART HISTORIAN ARE YOU? i am Linda Nochlin. probably because i go to a women's college. whether or not i go to a coed institution wasn't a specific question on the quiz but the internet must have picked up some feminist vibes. another important and exciting thing i did today: saw my first (and probably last, of '09 anyway) person associated with FLEET WEEK. in whole foods at columbus circle. he was young and handsome and wearing a NAVY MARATHON shirt. it was unrequited love at first sight. unfortunately fleet week ends tomorrow, so there go my hopes and dreams of being married to a navy officer by graduation.
IN ANY EVENT: today the 1 train skipped from 103rd to 137th. it was awkward, a lot of confused hipsters ended up in actual harlem. i giggled, then remembered that i was carrying a very heavy bag of groceries and stopped giggling as i made my way the 12 blocks south to 125th.
more observations of harlem hipsters coming soon, in the meantime, czech out this awesome vid of manuele dancing and singing about boobs (and whitney throwing sugar packets at him).
luvv,
PARKER.
