yesterday prince harry played polo on governor's island. apparently the first (or possibly second, they were unclear about that) polo game played in new york since 1941. first- prince harry, what an attractive lad! second- we met some fellas on the ferry back to manhattan- when i mentioned that i live in harlem, he said "me too! 86th street!" i mean, what? 86th street has never, ever been harlem. maybe on the east side like 50 years ago. maybe. but come on. seriously.
when i said that harlem was the new williamsburg, he got offended. apparently he just bought an apartment in williamsburg (YET MORE PROOF THAT HE IS NOT FROM HARLEM).
in the meantime, here's a SWEET PIC of prince harry on a polo pony.

wait, did you see this match?
ReplyDeletealso, dude seems like one of many misguided, douche-baggy new yorkers - the best kind to run into, really. hilarious!
WORD. It was the hot spot to be- in that it was BLAZIN' RAYS, and in that all the beautiful people of manhattan were there (some ugly ones too, but it's much easier to pretend those don't exist).
ReplyDeleteas for doucheybaggey manhattanite- yeah. the 80s are not harlem.
